Feeling brain dead as usual. TERRIBLE result for math, thank god it doesn't count.

So I shall slack off and read random books and surf the net, just relax my 'little grey cells' until they are ready to function again.

P.S. Love Agatha Christie. Her mystery stories are the best. I always love Poirot. :)

By golly, does anyone even do these blog things anymore?

Seems more like the trend to have a MySpace. Or Facebook. Or Friendster. Whatever rocks your boat.

Anyway exams are in a few days, I am feeling insanely bored from studies, and my only salvation lies in mind-numbing YouTube videos.

The real world can wait, no?...

(Just kidding. I think. Good luck for exams, it's the final stretch. Yee haw!)

I totally forgot about the Camp Re:ACT! briefing. So, count that as another thing I forgot/did sloppily this week. I don't even know what's wrong with me. I'm so fucking frustrated and tired now. I feel disoriented.

It wasn't too late to redeem all this... it now may be. II seriously do not wish this to happen ever again.

Reality? Oh, really? [Sep. 17th, 2006|08:36 pm]

[music |Walk On Water (Radio Edit) - Milk Inc.]

I've just finished watching the first episode of Survivor Cook Islands, even though it's supposed to be banned here due to the racial divison thing.  But honestly, as gimmicky as it is there really wasn't anything offensive about it.  In all probability to avoid any true controversy they cast 20 of the most politically correct and inoffensive people ever.  Thre was some gentle self-mocking amidst the various 'races', but nothing serious.  Except for some of the Asians who are already taking everything way too seriously (hmm).

Favourites? I actually like the whole Asian tribe.  Yul is smart and articulate, Becky is pretty, and Cao Boi (don't laugh, it's an actual name) is wacky.  I actually quite like and respect Cao Boi.  He was talking about how he was a first-generation immigrant as compared to the other Asians who were born in America, and talked about a loss of cultural identity and stuff.  Not to sound toos erious but his real contribution to the first episode was a moment where he cures another contestant of a headache (go watch it).  Cao Boi is like the crazy uncle you love, I guess.

So there wasn't too much characterisation, granted, but it's only the first episode, and any attention is inevitably going to be focused on key events.  Nobody is a real turn-off, though, except for Jonathan who looks like he's on his way to becoming Jonathan Baker (pathetic wife-abusing famewhore of Amazing Race 6) and Candice and Adam who are snogging each other (already?).  Jessica, or 'Flicka' as she prefers to be known (what the hell is a 'roller girl'?') has probably earned herself the designation of being stupidest contestant this season by accidentally releasing the tribe's chickens into the forest.  And it was Sekou's time to go, considering how he bragged so much about his own abilities to 'survive' (as he would love to emphasise) yet proceed to pathetically try and start a fire (the hard and tedious way), and then give up, whine 'I'm tired' then go and rest, leaving the other tribemates to finish his work/command.  Leader of a tribe? Pfft.

All in all, a decent episode.  Of course, it could always go up or down from here; it has potential but may well turn out to be a yawnfest.  Now I'm waiting for The Amazing Race - eh, sorry, Channel 5, I can't watch it because you failed to obtain it.

What a load of crap.

[music |I'm Your Villain - Franz Ferdinand]

Remember those days when all was happier.
Remember those days when we didn't give a care.
Remember those days when nothing was going to stop us.

Remember that today, it's not the end of those days yet.

Best of luck for promos.

[music |(There's Gotta Be) More to Life - Stacie Orrico]

I hate MySpace.
It's stupid and degenerative.
It kills brain cells.
It's full of wannabe posers and paedophiles.
It must be the most pointless thing ever created.
This is not even funny.

I was browsing a CD rack.
I picked up Stacie Orrico's latest CD.
Guess what was written on the back of the CD.
Stacie Orrico's MySpace.
Oh God I think I need to throw up.
MySpace is a way for artistes to pretend that they want to know their fans better.
Screw MySpace.
